Build an accurate history for each tax year first. A tax adviser can then advise on the right route for past years.
An exchange export on its own misses transfers between your own wallets. Coinfig finds those gaps for you.
Get your full history and figures together before you reply, so you can answer accurately.
Hand over one report with the schedules behind every number, so they can check it instead of rebuilding it.
Connect your exchanges and wallets and Coinfig pulls in your full history for you, with nothing to type in by hand. Your transactions are kept in sync. For wallets we read the blockchain directly, which picks up movements that exported statements often leave out.
For the technically minded: we run our own archive nodes for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Cardano.
Direct, read-only API connections to the venues you actually use, local and global, plus a universal CSV importer for everything else.
Add a wallet address and we read its history from the blockchain itself, transaction by transaction. There is no file to export.
Coinfig checks whether anything is missing from your history and shows you what to fix. You get a data completeness score from 0 to 100, so you know how far to trust your figures before you pay.
We compare everything that came into your accounts with everything that went out, coin by coin. Small gaps count for little, so a €1 gap does not spoil a clean year.
When crypto arrives from a wallet or exchange you have not connected, we value it at the market price on the day, which is an estimate. Connect that account and we use the real figure. Your score is the lowest of the checks.
Link your exchanges, add your wallet addresses, or upload a file from an exchange we do not connect to yet.
Coinfig shows you what is missing from your history and how to fix it, before you pay.
Look over how your transactions were treated and change anything that is wrong. Every change is recorded.
Download your report with the figures for your return and the schedules behind them, ready for you or your accountant.

Your tax practitioner gets the detail behind every number, so they can check your figures instead of rebuilding them.

Everything you need to know about Coinfig and your crypto tax reporting.
Coinfig turns your exchange and wallet history into clear, euro-denominated gain figures for the calendar year. It applies a consistent, generic cost-basis calculation and gives you downloadable, transaction-level schedules and workings.
This is a reporting-level view. It is not tailored to the statutory rules of any single member state. Coinfig is a calculation and reporting tool, not tax advice, and it does not imply any endorsement by a revenue authority.
No. Across the eurozone the mandated cost-basis method, tax rates, holding-period rules and reliefs vary from one member state to another. Coinfig gives you a euro-denominated calculation on a consistent basis rather than a country-specific computation.
Confirm the rules that apply to you with a local adviser before filing. If you are in France or Italy, use the dedicated France and Italy pages, which apply those local methods.
If you live in the Netherlands, gains on crypto held as a private investment are not taxed. Box 3 taxes a deemed return on the value on 1 January, which this report does not compute.
The generic calculation uses FIFO, first in first out, by default, with LIFO and HIFO also available. It is applied consistently across your history and is not tailored to any single member state.
The full working is shown behind every disposal so you can trace how each figure was reached.
Whether a crypto-to-crypto exchange is taxed, and when, depends on the member state you are taxed in. The generic calculation treats disposals consistently under the method you choose.
Because the local treatment varies, confirm how swaps are taxed where you live with a local adviser.
Figures and reports are shown in euro. This lets you calculate and review your crypto activity in the currency you file in across the eurozone.
Your local rules still determine how those figures are taxed, so confirm the detail with a local adviser.
Yes. When you connect an exchange through its API, Coinfig uses read-only access to import your transaction history. It cannot place trades or move funds.
If you prefer not to share an API key, you can also import your history by CSV from most exchanges.
No. Coinfig provides calculations and reports based on the data you import and the settings you choose. It does not provide personalised tax advice, and it does not imply any endorsement or approval by any revenue authority.
Because eurozone rules vary by country, and for complex situations such as business trading, mining or unusual transactions, consult a qualified tax adviser. You remain responsible for what you file.
