Coinfig pulls your exchange and wallet history into one place, checks that nothing is missing and works out your tax. You file with figures you can trace and check.
Figures for Nigeria are a reporting-level calculation, not a Nigeria specific computation. Coinfig applies a consistent generic cost-basis method and shows the full workings, so confirm how the local rules apply to you with an adviser in Nigeria.

Build an accurate history for each tax year first. A tax adviser can then advise on the right route for past years.
An exchange export on its own misses transfers between your own wallets. Coinfig finds those gaps for you.
Get your full history and figures together before you reply, so you can answer accurately.
Hand over one report with the schedules behind every number, so they can check it instead of rebuilding it.
Connect your exchanges and wallets and Coinfig pulls in your full history for you, with nothing to type in by hand. Your transactions are kept in sync. For wallets we read the blockchain directly, which picks up movements that exported statements often leave out.
For the technically minded: we run our own archive nodes for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Cardano.
Direct, read-only API connections to the venues you actually use, local and global, plus a universal CSV importer for everything else.
Add a wallet address and we read its history from the blockchain itself, transaction by transaction. There is no file to export.
Coinfig checks whether anything is missing from your history and shows you what to fix. You get a data completeness score from 0 to 100, so you know how far to trust your figures before you pay.
We compare everything that came into your accounts with everything that went out, coin by coin. Small gaps count for little, so a $1 gap does not spoil a clean year.
When crypto arrives from a wallet or exchange you have not connected, we value it at the market price on the day, which is an estimate. Connect that account and we use the real figure. Your score is the lowest of the checks.
Link your exchanges, add your wallet addresses, or upload a file from an exchange we do not connect to yet.
Coinfig shows you what is missing from your history and how to fix it, before you pay.
Look over how your transactions were treated and change anything that is wrong. Every change is recorded.

Everything you need to know about Coinfig and your crypto tax reporting.
Gains on digital assets are chargeable in Nigeria, and Coinfig turns your exchange and wallet history into clear gain figures for the calendar tax year. It applies a consistent, generic cost-basis calculation and gives you downloadable, transaction-level schedules and workings.
This is a reporting-level view. It is not tailored to the statutory rules that apply in Nigeria. Coinfig is a calculation and reporting tool, not tax advice, and it does not imply any endorsement by the FIRS.
No. Coinfig gives you a consistent generic calculation across your whole history rather than a Nigeria specific computation, and it works out the gain rather than your final liability.
Confirm the rules that apply to you, and how the figures should be reported, with a local adviser before you file.
The generic calculation uses FIFO, first in first out, by default, with HIFO and LIFO also available. It is applied consistently across your history and is not tailored to Nigerian rules.
The full working is shown behind every disposal so you can trace how each figure was reached, and the report states which method produced it.
Coinfig treats a swap from one crypto asset to another as a disposal, so it is included in your figures under the method you have chosen, and both legs are shown in the workings.
How that is treated locally is worth confirming with a Nigerian adviser, because your figures may need adjusting if the local position differs.
Reports are produced in one of Coinfig's supported reporting currencies, which include the South African rand, the US dollar, the euro and the pound sterling. You pick yours in preferences and every figure and schedule is produced in it.
Nigerian naira reporting is not available yet.
Yes. When you connect an exchange through its API, Coinfig uses read-only access to import your transaction history. It cannot place trades or move funds.
If you prefer not to share an API key, you can also import your history by CSV from most exchanges.
No. Coinfig provides calculations and reports based on the data you import and the settings you choose. It does not provide personalised tax advice, and it does not imply any endorsement or approval by the FIRS.
Because the figures are a reporting-level calculation rather than a Nigeria specific one, and for anything unusual such as business trading, mining or staking, consult a qualified adviser in Nigeria. You remain responsible for what you file.
