Is this you?

Most people arrive for one of these reasons.

You have never declared your crypto

Build an accurate history for each tax year first. A tax adviser can then advise on the right route for past years.

You use more than one exchange or wallet

An exchange export on its own misses transfers between your own wallets. Coinfig finds those gaps for you.

Your tax office asked about your crypto

Get your full history and figures together before you reply, so you can answer accurately.

Your accountant asked for your crypto figures

Hand over one report with the schedules behind every number, so they can check it instead of rebuilding it.

Coverage

Connect once. We bring in the rest.

Connect your exchanges and wallets and Coinfig pulls in your full history for you, with nothing to type in by hand. Your transactions are kept in sync. For wallets we read the blockchain directly, which picks up movements that exported statements often leave out.

For the technically minded: we run our own archive nodes for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Cardano.

Exchanges

Direct, read-only API connections to the venues you actually use, local and global, plus a universal CSV importer for everything else.

Blockchains

Add a wallet address and we read its history from the blockchain itself, transaction by transaction. There is no file to export.

The difference

See every number and where it came from before you file.

Coinfig checks whether anything is missing from your history and shows you what to fix. You get a data completeness score from 0 to 100, so you know how far to trust your figures before you pay.

Coverage

Is anything missing?

We compare everything that came into your accounts with everything that went out, coin by coin. Small gaps count for little, so a $1 gap does not spoil a clean year.

Evidence

Where did your coins come from?

When crypto arrives from a wallet or exchange you have not connected, we value it at the market price on the day, which is an estimate. Connect that account and we use the real figure. Your score is the lowest of the checks.

How it works

Four steps, messy to filed.

1

Connect

Link your exchanges, add your wallet addresses, or upload a file from an exchange we do not connect to yet.

2

Check

Coinfig shows you what is missing from your history and how to fix it, before you pay.

3

Review

Look over how your transactions were treated and change anything that is wrong. Every change is recorded.

FAQ

Common questions.

Everything you need to know about Coinfig and your crypto tax reporting.

Coinfig turns your exchange and wallet history into clear disposal and gain figures for the calendar charge year. It applies a consistent, generic cost-basis calculation and gives you downloadable, transaction-level schedules and workings.

This is a reporting-level view. It is not tailored to the statutory rules that apply in Zambia. Coinfig is a calculation and reporting tool, not tax advice, and it does not imply any endorsement by the ZRA.

No. Coinfig gives you a consistent generic calculation across your whole history rather than a Zambia specific computation, and it does not decide your tax position for you.

Confirm the rules that apply to you with a local adviser before you file.

Zambia has no capital gains tax, and only crypto trading as a business is taxed.

Whether your own activity amounts to trading as a business depends on your facts, and Coinfig does not decide that. It summarises your disposals for reference, so confirm your status with a local adviser.

The generic calculation uses FIFO, first in first out, by default, with HIFO and LIFO also available. It is applied consistently across your history and is not tailored to Zambian rules.

The full working is shown behind every disposal so you can trace how each figure was reached, and the report states which method produced it.

Reports are produced in one of Coinfig's supported reporting currencies, which include the South African rand, the US dollar, the euro and the pound sterling. You pick yours in preferences and every figure and schedule is produced in it.

Zambian kwacha reporting is not available yet.

Yes. When you connect an exchange through its API, Coinfig uses read-only access to import your transaction history. It cannot place trades or move funds.

If you prefer not to share an API key, you can also import your history by CSV from most exchanges.

No. Coinfig provides calculations and reports based on the data you import and the settings you choose. It does not provide personalised tax advice, and it does not imply any endorsement or approval by the ZRA.

Because the figures are a reporting-level calculation rather than a Zambia specific one, and for anything unusual such as business trading, mining or staking, consult a qualified adviser in Zambia. You remain responsible for what you file.
